So, who am I and why should you care?
What’s in it for you?
Well, my story is probably similar to others you have heard before, or maybe even somewhat similar to your own.
I have had an entrepreneurial mindset my whole life. It just took 25 years or so to figure that out!
I have gone down MANY different career paths in my life and none of them ever seemed like the “right fit”. I guess that’s probably because all of them involved actually having a JOB and having to work for someone else. I knew that definitely wasn’t for me, no matter what kind of salary I was offered. But, how do you pay the bills?
That’s a tough question.
I knew I wouldn’t be a very good criminal. I’m not smart enough to be a good one, and I didn’t want to spend my life in prison. So, I had to find another way…
Actually, I REALLY wanna be a rock star!! (Still working on that…)
The next logical choice was to start my own business. That seemed like a great idea, but most people who I knew that had their own business worked more hours than having a job and didn’t really seem happier than the 9 to 5′ers. Hmm, maybe crime WAS the right choice! Just kidding…
So, by nature, I am a night owl. And as most night owls will admit to, they have probably seen an infomercial or 2 or 3…or 1,000! And if they do their job right (which they most certainly do) you find yourself getting sucked into the idea of easy, fast, money while sitting around in your underwear. I did, in a BIG way!
I tried EVERY business that came into view: eBay, real estate, internet marketing, network marketing, affiliate marketing, marketing marketing, etc. etc. etc. And guess what? I failed at every single one of them. I failed spectacularly! To the tune of being over $100,000 in debt! And NOTHING to show for it!
What I did have though, was a dogged determination (stubbornness) to not give up NO MATTER WHAT!
I knew what the alternatives were: J.O.B. or crime or homelessness
None of those sounded very appealing. So, I kept trying…
I KNEW there were people actually making money in all those different businesses that I had tried and it angered me because I wondered why they could succeed, and I couldn’t. It actually made me realize that I COULD succeed in a business, I just had to figure out which one was right for me, and then put all my effort into it and stop the “shiny ball syndrome”.
***That’s probably the best advice I could give anyone is to stop chasing every new shiny ball that comes into view, and FOCUS. Pick a business that satisfies the lifestyle that you see yourself living…and stick with it until you achieve that goal!***
So, back to me now…FOCUS!
I realized that through all of my adventures trying new businesses, that I became pretty good at a few things. I started becoming pretty good at direct marketing and using social media online (MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.)
So, I started providing these services to clients and I have received some rave reviews! Check it out:

And most recently (6/17/09), I was featured on The Loral Langemeier Show
NY Times Best Selling Author/Self Made Millionaire-Entrepreneur/Money Expert on the Dr. Phil T.V. Show
Listen to my 10 minute interview with Loral as I discuss the proper way to promote your business using the power of Twitter.
So, that’s all well and good and I’m VERY proud of the results I’ve been able to achieve for my clients. But, there was something missing up until recently…I was helping my clients achieve massive success, but I wasn’t putting these skills into practice for myself. What a dummy! I had cracked the code to building successful blogs, driving massive traffic using social media, PPC, etc. But, I was ONLY doing it for my clients, not myself!
So, back to the question I proposed at the beginning of this bio: “What’s in it for you?”
Well, if you’ve read this far THANK YOU! And if you have, you’re probably asking yourself that question right now and “who cares?” Right? Come on, you know you are…;)
Well, as I mentioned before, I have tried AND FAILED at many different business opportunities so I have been around the block a few times. I have A LOT of valuable information I can share with you…and I will be sharing from all my years of successes and failures. I will also be sharing some GREAT content and strategies that I have used to achieve great things for my clients.
The most valuable information (I believe) I can share with you is the type of business that I have now and will focus on 100% indefinitely and why it might be a good fit for you too! (BTW, I do still work with clients as well but it’s not my primary business.)
Before I tell you what my business is, I want to tell you WHY it is the PERFECT fit for me…
As I mentioned before, I still have a CRAZY dream to be a rock star some day…(it could happen!) Actually, I still have A LOT of other goals and pursuits I want to accomplish in my life and I can’t be tied down to a business that requires my daily involvement in order for it to still make money.
Anyone who has read Tim Ferris’ book “The Four Hour Work Week” knows EXACTLY what I’m talking about. There is too much in this world to experience and life is too short to not “take it all in” while you can!!!
I HAD to find a business that allowed me to do these things… allowed me to work from anywhere in the world, allowed me to leverage my efforts so my income would NEVER be limited to the number of hours in the day, allowed me to step away from it for a day, a week, a month and it would still keep moving right along, and actually be growing while I was away! A business that actually allowed me the freedom to live the 4 Hour Work Week!
Alright already! What is the business??
Well, after years of pursuing countless different businesses, I finally realized the absolute PERFECT business (for me) that fit ALL of my criteria and has allowed me to actually start living The 4 Hour Work Week was…………… INTERNET NETWORK MARKETING!
What is Internet Network Marketing?
Well, I’m sure you have heard of internet marketing and network marketing, MLM, multi-level marketing, etc. It has been given a really bad rap until just recently when people like Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki have not only endorsed the business, but said if they lost it all and were starting over from scratch, they would start over in network marketing. Why? One word: LEVERAGE!
I actually tried network marketing in the past, and I HATED it! Maybe you have too! I am NOT a salesman, never have been, never will be. I HATE the way it was traditionally done: make a list of friends and family, set up meetings, cold call leads, call supposed HOT leads, etc. etc. etc. and face rejection most of the time. It wears you out, it wears your pocket book out and MOST people don’t make any money and quit within 90 days and are devastated and then go back to their old life and give up on the dream…
But the game has completely changed! You do NOT have to be a salesman. In fact, you don’t have to talk to anyone at all if you don’t want to UNTIL they actually become involved in your opportunity. (That was a HUGE revelation for me.) Do you realize what I just wrote? The absolute WORST aspect of network marketing for me was having to pick up that phone and face rejection 95% of the time. I was terrified. I can teach you how to pursue this business and NEVER have to talk to a lead ever again and sponsor people like crazy on complete auto pilot!
I realized I could take all of my skills and expertise I have acquired about internet marketing and social media, and combine it with the leverage of a network marketing business. Brilliant!
Here’s the kicker: It doesn’t matter what network marketing company you want to join, or may already be a part of. This works with ANY company! You are not really promoting a company, you are promoting yourself and promoting a true duplicatable system that others can actually follow and finally achieve success.
So, I’m sure most people have heard about the leverage and income potential there is with network marketing. The best part is, when you do it my way, the leveraged income you receive from your network marketing company is only a small fraction of your total income.
In fact, your network marketing company could shut down tomorrow and it wouldn’t even make a dent in your overall income.
That’s because you would be creating and generating MULTIPLE streams of income from building your OWN list of prospects, promoting multiple affiliate products, creating your OWN info products, signing up people in your primary business, AND creating training systems to duplicate your success for your downline to follow……..and having all this run on auto pilot so you could be off exploring the world, watching your son’s soccer game, or becoming a rock star!
Here’s an example of just ONE of the many income streams I have set up that makes me money 24 hours a day: http://mysuccessfulmlm.biz/ (I can teach you how to do this too!)
I know it sounds like a fairy tale, but it’s really not! Does it take some effort to reach this point? Absolutely! (How bad do you want it? Is it worth the effort to put in to achieve this life????)
Is it rocket science? Absolutely NOT!
This system is VERY duplicatable. Otherwise, it wouldn’t work! You HAVE to be able to put a system in place for others to follow so they can be successful too! (That’s actually the best part is seeing others achieve the same success you have. Nothing is better or more rewarding!! Truly!)
Listen, the purpose of writing all this was NOT to sell you on some opportunity. I just want to provide you some good content here on my blog and if what I described sounds like a good fit for you, maybe we could connect at some point.
That’s enough about me….
I hope you like the content I provide!
Pursue life with passion,
Rob

Hi Rob,
We sound like 2 peas in a pod. I have tried more jobs than anyone I know of and I’m workin’ the internet network marketing scene too.
I’d love to share experiences and knowledge. Perhaps we can help each other.
PS. What was the worst job you ever did? I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours.
Hey Kat,
My worst job ever had to be washing dishes at a steak house when I was in high school. It was a very dirty sweaty job and I left every night with a layer of grease and dirt on my skin. Not fun!
What about you?
I truly want to connect with you Rob. We have sent a couple direct messages, but reading this blog has convinced me that I need to benefit from your experience. I still want to get you to some of my people. You can help us all, I imagine.
Hi Alan,
Sorry about the missed DM’s they can quickly get out of hand and then you lose track.
I am in the process of putting together a product for network marketers specifically about generating leads THE RIGHT WAY on Twitter.
I will send you a DM on Twitter with my email so we can connect.
Thanks again Alan!
Talk soon,
Rob
Hi Rob,
I’m Victoria. I go by LaFemmeVictoria on Twitter, and I’m following you. I’d like more info on “networking” I work for the Federal Government and would like to know how I can become more social within my work/career to better myself for a promotion? Thank you.
Sincerley,
Victoria A. Ruiz
Hello Victoria,
First of all, thanks so much for following me. Second, wow, that’s a new one I’ve never been asked before. That’s actually a tough question to answer…
I’m not so sure that “networking” in regards to social media online would have any impact on working toward a promotion for your career. However, if you knew that other co-workers were engaging in social activity online, it certainly wouldn’t hurt to get involved in the conversation and make your presence known.
If there was a particular topic of interest that was being discussed and pertained to a position that you desired and you felt confident in your abilities and knowledge about this topic, that would be a great opportunity to position yourself as a person of authority on this topic which could lead to a potential promotion. (Gosh, that was a long sentence. I hope it made sense.
Even if a conversation online did not involve your co-workers, just engaging in conversation with like minded individuals can open many doors. So, just get out there and socialize and meet people who share your interests and beliefs and you’ll be surprised what that can lead to.
I hoped that helped.
Rob
Hi Rob,
My Background is almost like yours. I\’m Retired Army, Worked in State Government and now I am working in the Semiconductor Industry.
While in High School and College I had a wide assortment of jobs and now in my life I am tired of JOBS. I am new in Network Marketing and trying to soak up all I can. I Plan on leaving my full time JOB in March 2010 and I intend on creating a Legacy for my Girls and having fun meeting as many gifted and intelligent marketers along the way. I\’m located in Gilbert AZ and I am looking forward to an interesting exchange of ideas.
Be talking to ya,
Ken
Hey Rob,
we have talked one other time. Another Rob. I have many of the same experiences you have had with different fields although I think you\’ve got me beat in the amount you spent on different deals. Maybe you can save me from spending that much.
I just started using twitter and used a guy\’s named Bill Crosby\’s twitter traffic machine. It is pretty much automatic pilot without much maintenance but I don\’t think it\’s all it\’s made out to be but I did manage to get 700 followers in less about 2 weeks or less.
I would love to talk some time live. I see you are on LinkedIn. I will check you out there too.
Best regards,
Rob
Hi Rob,
Good day! I have found out that your profile in your twitter account interests me. Yeah! I had to put myself in your words that most of the people are attached closely to their business 99%. Well, it is understandable on my part that most people will do as such.
Anyways, I am so much interested to know more on you. We can establish a good relationship over here and that you are always welcome to me.
Just keep in touch, as I am eager to learn more about you also and I am giving you any forms that you we can contact each other. Hope you can help me with so much.
Keep that faith!
This must be,
Chris
Dear Rob,
Sorry it took me such a long time to read your response to my question. We are not really based “on-line” for secret reasons. We are a HUGE agency (Federal Goverment) I do work well with my pears and I try to get very much involved in any little thing. I wanted your point of view in becoming I guess you would call it “Network Friendly?” I see myslef as a shy “networker” in some aspects. I can “network” well in different situations, but others I feel that I’m not so great at it. I know this was a touch ? to ask, but I see where your how can I call it? “media network, business prosper” differ from what I’m trying to attain/gain from my career. I love your intelligience. I hope I did not typo to much. Thank you, Rob.
Respectfully,

Rob, maybe you caught me at an off moment so I will apologize ahead of time. But the skinny at work is “Okay yea sure just give them your email, fill out the capture page and down the road you go, basically to by their stuff monthly of course and they will make you money money money. Don’t get me wrong I am 62 and been on this dream road since the first days of Amway. Oh stick with it you might say, want to see my receipts from hotel rooms, gas charges, events and books and tapes. Now the form or media is different CD’s and Internet downloads but you got to understand lives are being played with here. In some cases ones last dollar in order to make a change in their lives. Desperate times desperate measures. So here I am late at night catching your tweet saying just here for the relationship and you don’t want to sell anyone, maybe not at the moment put somewhere along the line another dream will be shattered and hope will be distinguished. So Rob, it’s all about truth and trust and in turn truly helping turn a life around for the better. Tell me you are the real deal for I believe in leverage and it means freedom from the day to day agony and pain that we are enduring each and everyday. George
Peace and Joy, Rob.
\"Max\" (my nickname) here from http://www.twitter.com/joypreneur.

Got your DM and I can\’t DM back for unknown reason. Thought I let you know I\’m responding to your DM.
Would like to share with you what I\’m up to. How would I go about it since I can\’t do it via Twitter.
Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
Enjoy the rest of the day!
